Our Southern Charmers are 1 week old!

Hard to believe that a week has gone by with this little sweetums already! They are growing rapidly with only 8 pups on a rack..it's all milk, all day!

Developmentally, the pups are in their Neonatal period (0 to 2 weeks). Puppies can touch, taste and smell at birth, but that’s about it. During this period, they are going to be most influenced by their mother and litter mates, and will start learning some simple social skills, coordination, and the ranking process. Mostly, they’ll just eat — newborns need to have milk from mom about every two hours.

We have begun Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), also called Bio Senor with the pups. They do not enjoy it, but we know how it will help them later on!

Here they are...blury as always...pups are very squirmy at 1 week. Enjoy!
