Adoption Process

Read About The Adoption Process of Australian Labradoodles & Goldendoodles by Big Rock Labradoodles | Canada | USA

All of our Wonderful Woofies, regardless of colour or size, are $3,500(plus g.s.t.).

A reservation fee of $500 (plus g.s.t.) is required to hold a spot on our waiting list.

  1. First, we want to learn about you! We require that you fill out and send in our Adoption Application Form.

  2. Once we receive your application, we will review it and get back to you. We'll discuss upcoming litters with you, and let you know about our current waiting list.

  3. When you're ready to say 'yes!' to add one of our Wonderful Woofies to your family, we require a non-refundable reservation fee of $500, plus g.s.t ($525.00). This secures your place on our wait list for a puppy matching your criteria. The reservation fee can be paid via e-mail transfer to  Once we have receipted your reservation fee, you will receive a receipt.

  4. We will email you when a litter is born that matches your description and so that you can confirm that the litter and timing work well for you and your family.  Once you are on a specific litter, you will receive weekly updates on the litter's development and progress, as well as weekly photos of each puppy in the litter.

  5. When your pup's litter is 3 weeks old, we'll ask you to provide more information about your lifestyle, personalities, and expectations for your puppy by filling out our Puppy Personality Poll. This information, in addition to your original application, will help us to best match you with a puppy, once we have completed temperament testing which is done at 7 weeks of age.

  6. The final payment of $3,000, plus ($3,150) is required when the puppy is 6 weeks old.  We will send out an invoice after the 6-week virtual visitation.

  7. At 6 weeks, we will have a virtual 'Meet the Puppies' Day.  This virtual visitation is your chance to ask all your questions, see the pups live and in action, as well as close-up for personal introductions.

  8. We perform conformation and temperament testing at 7 weeks of age, after which your puppy will be allocated to you.  You will receive an e-mail introducing you to your new family member.

  9. Between 8-9 weeks, the wait is finally over and the puppies are ready to leave us. You will be given a pick-up date and time to come and collect your new Wonderful Woofie!

In the event that we cannot provide you with a puppy or if you cannot take a puppy at the time of availability, you can return to the waitlist. The reservation fee is non-refundable unless we are, for some reason, unable to provide you with a puppy.

Questions? Please contact Alana at We are here to support you through the lifetime of your puppy.

We are now accepting applications for our 2022 waitlist for pups 50-80 lbs.  As we are a specialty breeder of true standard multi-gen Australian Labradoodles, we only breed 40 lbs and up.  Our waitlist for 40-50 puppies is longer than our waitlist for standards.

We have two locations to serve you better! Big Rock Labradoodles in High River and Big Rock Labradoodles, North, in Beaumont.  You may be offered a puppy from a litter from either location.  If you are only open to one location, because you do not wish to travel, please let us know when you fill out your Application Form.  Litters from Beaumont say that they are at Big Rock North.
